Summary:


The AVP, Marketing Analytics will collaborate with the retail partner and develop actionable analytical insights for the client credit card program. This will involve deep dive analytics on retail card shopping patterns using best-in-class techniques and building powerful data driven stories to influence senior leadership and drive business impact.


 


Responsibilities:


· Provide thought leadership in developing strategic initiatives to drive portfolio growth


· Partner with portfolio team and deliver complex analytical projects from beginning to end, including ideation, data mining, strategy formulation, and presentation of results and recommendations and conduct ad hoc analysis  


· Identify business opportunities using internal/external data and present them to portfolio and retail leadership team


· Manage offshore team and projects to ensure accurate and timely delivery of analytics to meet portfolio daily/weekly and monthly project requirements


· Effectively communicate Project Framework, Project Priorities and Timelines with key stakeholders


· Excel at presenting complex analytical information to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner


· Identify opportunities to simplify/drive productivity in existing reporting and analytical frameworks, recommend changes and drive execution


· Demonstrated ability to tell the story of data, what is important, and why to all levels of management


· Advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint 


· Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis, and form business insights to meet timelines

Required Qualifications :

Requirements:


· 3+ years of analytic experience in marketing, including portfolio management, product development, loyalty programs in credit card /consumer businesses,  credit card risk strategy or retail analytics 


· 3+ years of experience utilizing SAS, SQL or other analytic tools to perform data mining and complex analyses


· Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or  quantitative field, Master’s degree preferred


· Experience with modeling/forecasting, targeting and segmentation, and exposure to retail analytic tools


· Able to analyze complex, diverse information and develop and recommend strategies and communicate clearly 


 


Preferred Skills:


· 5+ years of analytics in credit card or retail analytics and 5 years hands-on experience using SAS/SQL


· Experience leading teams in a matrixed environment


· Proficient with Python, R, or data visualization tools such as Tableau or D3.js


· Solid understanding of credit card P&L drivers with business performance reporting experience 


· Experience being a mentor to junior analysts, either direct reports or dotted lined


· Strong project management, communications, multi-tasking, relationship management and influencing skills and the ability to work independently are critical to success 


· Demonstrated ability to manage complexity/ambiguity and multiple initiatives
