Summary


Utilize your marketing and analytic skills to move Category Management to the next level with a national market leader.  Seeking strong marketing strategist to improve the online category 


management process with 3rd party partners, (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.).




Responsibilities   



  • Interpret customer and company data to determine strategic and tactical opportunities for assigned customers



  • Using POS, shipment data and customer-specific shopper data, works with internal functional teams to identify relevant consumer insights/trends:




    • Develop presentations delivering consumer/category insights

    • Use insights to assist in developing retail strategies at the customer




  • Responsible for the development of customer centric business reviews and analysis to include:




    • Customer specific templates and formats

    • Business and category strategies, tactics and scorecard

    • Assortment, promotion, pricing, and merchandising recommendations


  • Understand category management vision and using applicable tactics with assigned customers

  • Provide insights to plan intermediate and long term strategies that will drive growth

  • Deliver in-depth understanding of customer, retail marketplace, competitors, and category management strategies



  • Strong presentation skills, both oral and written

  • Work within dynamic matrix organizational structure

  • Excellent time management skills and capable working in unsupervised situations

Required Qualifications :

Requirements



  • 3-5 years industry experience related to business and marketing analytics

  • Direct eCommerce or eTail retail account sales experience

  • Experience in using multiple data and information sources to develop account-specific business solutions

  • Experience with eCommerce 3rd party data providers including Amazon ARA Premium, Vendor Central, etc.

  • Proficient in use of syndicated data, graphics, spreadsheets, databases and category management tools

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office(Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel)

  • Expertise in forecast development in areas of promotion, new items, and monthly/annual projections

  • BA/BS in a related field.  MBA preferred
