Credit Risk Analyst

Measures, monitors, and analyzes historical trends and external factors impacting the credit risk exposure for loan products. Develops detailed analysis, utilizing sophisticated analytical and financial modeling and statistical techniques to predict, evaluate and manage the credit risk across various loan portfolios. Assesses lending product/portfolio performance specific to credit loss and financial elements. Under minimal supervision, performs moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution.

Specific job duties for this position:


Interrogates and analyze massive credit card data using SAS, SQL, and other available tools. Converts data analytics into business intelligence for executive team and external regulators. Design credit card strategy such as credit line management, authorizations, account renewal, etc. Works with Bank Infrastracture in the implementation, testing, and validation of credit strategies. Monitors credit strategies to control business, operational, and regulatory risks. Works in collaboration with peers, management, executive team, and partners throughout the Bank.


Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent/relevant work experience.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience performance data analytics in Banking or similar industry

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applicable databases. 

  • Experience performing complex data analytics using SAS, SQL, and/or other programming tools.

  • Ability to consume massive data stored in Oracle, Teradata, or similar data warehousing technology. 

  • Working knowledge of gathering and documenting data requirements and analyzing these requirements from a business perspective

  • Successful completion of an analyst assessment may be required. 



Preferred



  • Experience performing complex data analytics using SAS, SQL, and/or other programming tools.

  • Ability to identify opportunities to better manage a credit card portfolio

  • Experience designing credit strategy (account management) for credit card portfolio

  • Experience working with bank infrastructure in the implementation of credit strategy

  • Ability to monitor business performance of credit strategy 

  • Able to solve for various types of risk to include operational, reputational, and regulatory.

  • Experience presenting complex credit performance topics to executive group.
