Job Description :

The New Deals Acquisition Group Lead will lead the new deals for Risk organization while working together with business development, marketing and finance teams. He/she will be giving loss forecasts and design new strategies for the newly acquired partners. Group lead has the responsibility to check and challenge the deal P&Ls in its entirety as a second line risk function representative.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES


o   Represent second line risk function in the new deals RFPs


o   Analyse the prospect partner, the performance and the customer data


o   Work with business development team, Marketing and Finance to build the pro-forma P&Ls


o   Evaluate the deal from risk appetite and give POV to CRO and NAPA


o   Create and manage the data and information flow and presentations between new business deal team, CRO, IHC and NAPA


 


STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT


o   Develop, manage and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels across Credit Risk Office, IHC Risk, and Risk.


o   Coordinate senior leaders to ensure full understanding and exposure to the key risks involved in the growth and risk profile of the US business.


o   Work with the management team to identify opportunities and risks while evaluating new deals during RFPs


o   This role requires a good deal of interaction with peers, managers, and senior leaders both within CRO and across the organization.


 


DECISIONS


o   Candidate will drive work and decisions relating to new deals that will govern the credit risk of US portfolio, therefore must be comfortable communicating, negotiating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization.  They will be required to coordinate inputs, solves conflicts, and establish agreement within the matrixed organization based on the work completed by their team.


 


SPECIFICATIONS


o   Knowledge/understanding the implications of working out of a control framework and the risks that imposes to implementations on a larger scale.


o   Ability to multitask and react in a fast-paced organization.


o   Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.


o   Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.


 


Basic Qualifications:


o   Bachelor’s Degree or higher


o   10+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably in Retail Credit Risk Management


o   Demonstrated experience with analytical and data driven responsibilities


o   Proven ability to understand credit card  P&Ls, risk and marketing aspects of the new deals


o   Cross-functional collaboration, marketing, finance, and risk knowledge, presentation and storytelling skills through preparing sales pitch decks are a must


 


Preferred Qualifications:


o   Understanding of US structure and products


o   Detail oriented, with the ability to self-manage activities


o   Experience in use of risk management tools/systems


o   Experience with data manipulation
