Sr Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist will serve as a SME and as hands-on analyst and utilize appropriate data and models to answer business questions/hypotheses to enhance and expand data-driven business decisions. Partner with Marketing Analytics, Product Management and Digital Marketing to optimize e-commerce and the online experience of our clients.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Apply statistical analysis and machine learning models to build predictive system

·         Collaborate with team members to build machine learning solutions and writing code

·         Contribute to model development process, including data validation, product affinity, sampling, generating performance definitions, and analyzing performance

·         Perform complex data validation to uncover potential issues within the data

·         Assist on code reviews to ensure high quality of code with an eye for process improvement

·         Deploy model packages that are scalable across multiple digital properties

·         Ensure the project documentation is complete and accurate

·         Build presentations to communicate data models and algorithms to business stakeholders

·         Contribute as part of a larger data science team, prioritizing and planning work under an Agile/Scrum delivery framework

REQUIREMENTS

·         5 years’ experience developing machine learning and statistical analysis models

·         Proficient analyzing data and developing ML models using Python

·         Proficient with Python and SQL and distributed data technologies (e.g. Spark)

·         Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and SageMaker, or Azure ML Studio and Functions

·         Knowledge of traditional decisioning models and random forest

·         Experience with BI or data visualization products, such as Tableau and PowerBI

·         Good communication and presentation skills

·         Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines such as Computer Science, Statistics, etc.

PREFERRED SKILLS

·         Master’s in quantitative discipline

·         Experience with consulting organizations or agencies

·         Experience working in Big Data environment and ETL processes

·         Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud solutions (e.g. Analytics, Audience Manager, etc.)

·         Experience building recommendation engine models for e-commerce sites

·         Ability to draw insights and conclusions from data into a story for non-technical audiences
