Summary


Innovative and fast-growing Corporate Analytics Group responsible for delivering data-driven solutions is seeking experienced Data Scientist.  This role will develop and implement predictive analytic models and ML processes to deliver real-time solutions that drive corporate decisions across a Fortune 100 financial services company.


Responsibilities:



  • Work with internal Business Partners to define requirements and develop technical specifications


    • Determine data sources necessary for projects

    • Develop Statistical modeling and real time monitoring processes


  • Build automated measurement systems and dashboards to monitor progress


    • Develop Metrics and KPIs to assess success


  • Present and review results with Business Partners on a regular basis,


    • Provide insights and recommendations based upon analysis results


  • Provide technical expertise for operating and monitoring of statistical operations and processes


    • Participate in model governance activities (data and model review/validation)

    • Determine timing for model re-fit when model performance deteriorates

    • Develop analytic libraries to streamline the reporting and monitoring processes


  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and data analysis

  • Maintain and report on statistics of model usage, errors, and exceptions.


Required Qualifications :

Qualifications



  • Master’s degree in computer science, statistics or related field

  • Strong background in statistical analysis, modeling and machine learning

  • 3-5 years’ business experience working with and building stat models using Python and R

  • Solid understanding of statistical models and machine learning concepts  

  • Expert level with BI tools such as Tableau, Microsoft BI  

  • Hands-on experience working with complex data sets and ETL processes

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills


Preferred Skills



  • Knowledge of Cloud and Big Data platforms (AWS, Hadoop, etc.)

  • Participation in data science community events, competitions, (Kaggle, etc.)


 


Position Requirements



  • Work remotely initially which will eventually require work in NYC location
