Financial Analyst

This position is responsible for performing analysis and developing solutions of complex financial processes and technical problems with a focus on improving financial and operational performance.  The ideal candidate is a well-organized self-starter with a passion to optimize the decision making process through rigorous utilization of data.

Responsibilities:

• Extract and deliver insight from financial budget and actual data to drive and support operational improvements and business strategies

• Prepare and deliver well-constructed business insights to internal stakeholders and enhance the overall organizational understanding of financial concepts and their impact on business decisions

• Perform advanced or specialized work requiring comprehensive knowledge of accounting and financial theory and principles

• Prepare complex financial forecasting models using advanced modeling techniques

•  Develop high level analyses, recommend courses of action based on data, and present information to Senior Management

• Compile and review budgets, taking into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income

• Review, identify, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business process and supporting systems

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with five years analytical/problem solving experience OR Master's degree with two years of professional analytical/problem solving work experience

• In-depth knowledge in financial analysis, economic modeling and data visualization

• Strong analysis, research and complex problem solving skills

• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, VLOOKUP, etc) for financial modeling

• Ability to tell a story from analysis to be able to identify/solve business opportunities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
